Good hotel with good location for Acadia National Park. Free parking in Front of the building. Everything in Ellsworth easily accessable. Rooms of good size. Fridge an heating ok. Swimming Pool with hot tub on site. We would definitely return if in the area.
We stayed here for 3 nights and were extremely pleased with our room, the quietness, cleanliness, service, and breakfast. It was a very pleasant stay. Only complaint is the coffee, which I normally would drink 2-3 cups each morning is absolutely horrible, no flavor, like drinking hot water, even the bold dark roast was terrible. Had to find a Dunkin every day when I left the hotel. Thank you for a great stay, PLEASE invest in better quality coffee in rooms and downstairs.
We stayed here while exploring nearby Acadia National Park. I was really impressed by the free breakfast. We had it four mornings in a row, and the hot food options were different every morning. They even offered pumpkin spice waffles, which I've never seen before. Staff are nice and it's quiet (at least on the top floor). Recommend this if you want to stay outside Bar Harbor but still be within close driving distance of Acadia!
Pricey for a so/so hotel. Room smelled of urine.
Bed was comfortable, plenty of towels (although I did not need them all), hair dryer worked, shower was moldy but had a nice spray to it. Hand soap smelled nice, so did the towels....I guess to make up for the room smell. Windows opened which was wonderful!
Love this hotel! The rooms are very nicely maintained. The breakfast is top-notch: eggs are featured every day - some days they have scrambled eggs, some days they have small omlettes, also have hard boiled eggs. And lots of other breakfast options too - hot oatmeal, waffles, yogurt just to name a few. The rooms have a lot of attention to detail, nothing was lacking and everything looked nice, functioned well, etc. I was able to sleep better here, than any other hotel I've been at. And last, but certainly not least, the staff members are excellent - they talked to us and suggested different options for exploring Acadia and restaurants for dinner. Hotel is also a great location - easy drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor. Highly recommend!
We stayed at a few Hampton Inns on our trip, this one was the best and wasn't even the most expensive. Rooms clean. Front desk is courteous and professional and polite, morning breakfast is good and no corners were cut. A+
Excellent breakfast, nice set up with an eye to detail. I just hope the breakfast trash is recycled. Room was clean and functional. Kids loved the indoor pool.
We didn’t stay the night here, but we always stop at hotels to use the restroom. This is the cleanest bathroom we have used, out of the 6 states we have driven through. If a hotel keeps their lobby this clean, I can imagine how clean …
